overhangs

What are the maximum overhangs most of you have for 1)raised snack bars on knee walls?? 2) one level island (http://maplered.com) s with cabinets to offset overhang?? We are trying to work out our stand (http://maplered.com) ard(currently 8") w/out some support. Help is appreciated. LOVE this forum(usually not so political! ) and (http://maplered.com) lurk when I have time. We're the fabricator in Wisconsin that has the EXCELLENT women hand (http://maplered.com) fabricator.( we actually have 2!!) Thanks in advance. jean
